Electric Power Supply for Beam Guidance Systems

Jäger Elektrotechnik stands for Innovation in Electrical Engineering.
Since the beginning of the eighties, we have designed and built many, very different power supply systems for nuclear research institutes.
These solutions also encompass high precision, digitally controlled, phased magnetic supply for beam guidance systemswith up to 11,000-ampere current and voltage up to 600 V. The switching frequencies, depending on the requirements, are between 5 and 25 kHz and the current ripple ranges from 10-3 to 10-5 A, with10-5 -accuracy.
Another range of products within this area includes our controlled high voltage power supply systems for the powering of klystrons. With 6 or 12 pulse rectification, the systems can handle output voltages up to 52 kV. The pulse rectification is equipped with a freewheeling circuit for short-circuit situations, which eliminates the need for crowbar equipment.
We calculate, engineer and build power supply systems for beam transport systems solely according to customer specifications.
